EEARSS Biodiversity Project

For years, EEARSS has been dedicated to documenting species on these protected lands, assessing ecosystem health, and providing data to help guide responsible land management using the Adapted Hunt Drift Fence Technique (AHDriFT) camera system developed and tested at the John F. Kennedy Space Center and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Florida, USA, from June 2015 through June 2016. (a) Camera housing assembly instructions. Numbers refer to instructions provided in Table 2. (b) The drift fence was made of wooden oriented strand boards screwed together with the camera housings on opposite ends of the fence to direct wildlife movement.

Conservancy Friends of Aquarina has donated towards the materials essential for the next phase of their biodiversity survey work. The data they collect will be vital in understanding and informing Brevard County and how they manage and protect environmentally endangered lands.
